The Health setup in District Shopian needs proper attention in order to provide better healthcare facilities to the masses at gross root level. Productive efforts are being made to augment the health infrastructure in the District by incorporating the same in routine District Plans. District Shopian is divided into 02 Medical Blocks (Shopian & Keller) with a total number of 86 medical institutions viz-a-viz 01 District Hospital, 03 Sub District Hospitals, 09 PHCs, 06 Ads, 53 sub centers and 06 un-sanctioned health centers .
